SCHOLARSHIP FAQ

Can I apply for more than one award?

Yes. List every award you want to be considered for on one application. Each award has its own requirements.

Can I combine a scholarship with VA benefits?

In most cases yes, but rules differ by benefit program. Talk to our Veterans Liaison before you enroll so your funding is set up correctly.

Do I have to be enrolled before I apply?

You need to be enrolled or have a signed enrollment agreement for the award to be applied. You can submit your application before you finish enrolling.

What does "instructor nomination" mean?

A merit award requires one of our instructors to recommend you in writing. Ask your primary instructor early, and give them time to write it.

What if I do not win?

You can reapply in the next cycle. Merit and need awards run once a year, and military and airline awards are rolling.

Are awards taxable?

That depends on your situation and how the award is used. Ask a tax professional.

What happens if I leave the program?

Award terms are written in your award letter. Read them before you accept, and ask admissions about anything unclear.

NOT SURE WHERE YOU FIT?

Admissions can walk through your situation and tell you which awards to go after first.
